I söndags döptes prins Nicolas och fick både titlarna prins av Sverige och hertig av  Ångermanland.

Vapnet visar riksvapnet krönt med en hertigkrona. Som brukligt är i hertigvapen har folkungalejonet i det tredje fältet ersatts av hertig-landskapets vapen, denna gång Ångermanland.

Den här traditionen har funnits sedan gustavianska tiden.

Prince Nicolas is a Swedish prince, son of Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, and Christopher O’Neill. He is a member of the Swedish Royal Family and is sixth in the line of succession to the Swedish throne.
